Weekend Work

I thought planting wildflowers up at the cottage was going to be a low maintenance type of gardening. Seventeen wheelbarrows full of dead stalks and debris later, it's hard to believe that this picture from last year. . . . .
. . . .can turn into this the following year.
Never fear though. I finished cleaning it all up and hauling the debris away. And I'm planting additional wildflower seeds tomorrow and hoping for a pretty view again in a month or so. My DH used to refer to this kind of work at the cottage as a "different kind of work." I suppose that was because it was work done in a pretty get-away type of location. For me though, work is work no matter where it is done!

  3. That sounds like a lot of work, Jeanne. I have never been crazy about outdoor work...odd, huh? I would much rather organizing my craft room...again and again and again ;-)

You note to me was lovely. Thank you so much for your caring, my friend!

    Hugs,

  4. I am hurting from all the yard work, weeding and trimming in our backyard on Saturday. I had gloves on but still a few palm fronds poked through the gloves and pricked my hands ouch! Our daughter is planning a Birthday party at our place so I had to get busy... in the end it feels good to have the yard lookin better. Have a relaxing week. Hugs, Diane
