The glitter is really flying around in the studio these days. I just love all kinds of glitter. But my favorite is silver German glass glitter. I love the way it tarnishes over time to a wonderful rich patina. Just like sterling silver serving pieces or flatware, if you leave it out exposed to the air it will tarnish with age. I think it is beautiful this way.
By the way, you can find the glittered ornament above in my
Etsy Shop.

I love silver too -- I'm so drawn to it at this time of year especially. Is that a new header on your blog? It's really beautiful!
ooooh, that looks pretty...i love the real silver glitter too!!!
I love tarnished silver too. That is why i have never polished my Grandmothers set of silver ware. I feel like i will polish away all the years she used it.
beautiful!

Well....I just don't know how I've missed your blog up to now! I love so many of the things you've talked about here--to top it off, the real silver shavings glitter that tarnishes is just about my favorite thing! I use it practically every day on my vintage cards...feel lost without it! I'll be back often--what a lovely place!
Just me again--I'm also your newest follower--now I won't lose you! (I seem to have a very bad memory without reminders...maybe all the glitter's affecting my brain...!)
Silver is divine, in all its luscious shades. Love your selection of inspiration. Your ornament is beautiful. Seems like so many are now in the Christmas "creating" spirit...
God Bless,
Kitty
Great timing with this post.
I have just redone my shabby chic dresser/hutch with some tarnished silver pieces and a few other old family keepsakes.
