What a way to spend New Year's Eve, huh? I'm still blowing and sniffing and coughing. Ugh! I never knew just how much YUK one person could produce in their sinuses. I'm ready for it to be over with - enough is enough already!
So what kind of fabulous things does everyone have planned for tonight? Do you like to go out and party until the wee hours of the morning? Or do you prefer to ring in the new year by having a quiet evening at home with family and/or friends? Unless I feel a whole lot better by tonight then we will be doing the latter for sure! Perhaps a glass of sparkling champagne wouldn't hurt though...for strictly medincinal purposes of course!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
I can't wait to see what fabulous things 2009 has in store for all of us!
Oh, I know what you are going through! I've was sick the whole week of Christmas and still blowing my stupid nose yet! My little 15mo old has it awful too plus is teething. I was ready to go back to work! We are spending a quiet night at home and I'm making milk chocolate with white chocolate fondue!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year,
Kris
So sorry you feel so bad Jeanne - you may not want to hear this but our dr. says none of that stuff you have there really works (except maybe tylanol or ibuprofen for aches or fever) She recommends Nasonex for runny nose, Sudafed for congestion, hot tea with honey (or straight honey) for sore throat and the heat helps with congestion - and the main thing - a Neti Pot (sp?) to flush warm salt water thru your sinuses. Nobody wants to do it but it does help!
ReplyDeleteWell.. maybe just have a cup of tea with honey?
Hope you feel better soon. Happy New Year!
Uggg...So sorry to hear that jeanne! I've had a cold too and sinus headaches. Because of the clinical trial I can't take any sineaide medicine....It seems like everyone is sick lately...at least you have some company. I'll probably be in bed by 8:00 tonight. If you get a chance stop by my blog and look throught the pictures. See if "anyone" looks familiar :) I found a good home for the furry little friend you sent me! Talk to you soon!
ReplyDeleteJeanne, So sorry you're sick! Yuke! I hope you're over it quickly, so you can start in on the brand new year! And have some fun! (Not much happening here for New Year's Eve...hopefully I can even stay awake 'til midnight...)
ReplyDeleteHugs...and here's a tissue...
