Here I Am!
Sorry, I was missing in action this week. My DH came down with "the crud" and passed it along to me, so I was down and out. I'm feeling much more peppy now though so I dragged out the soldering iron to make a few things, like the pendant pictured above. Now it's not the greatest snapshot, but it's not that easy taking a picture at arm's length without looking thru the viewfinder. Most of the shots were either too high and centered on my neck or too low focusing on my chest. Believe me, you don't want to see either one of those! Today, I think I'd have to say I am grateful for fresh air! Yes, you heard me right. Soldering creates this strange metallic scent which permeates through the house and gives me a headache. It really gets to me - so much that I can actually taste it! I finally got wise and decided to crack open the window a bit before I came down with some sort of solder poisoning. I really don't know how Sally Jean can stand that smell as she solders all day long!

Jeanne, wondered where you'd been.
The pendant looks great. Don't know how i would go with the soldering but it looks fabulous.

Great job.. the first bubble I tried to solder I burnt the heck out of the paper. LOL
Jeanne, glad you are back and feeling better. Great job on your pendant.
Hi there...Just came across the blog and am really enjoying it! Looking forward to more! Also love your etsy shop!
You're so funny Jeanne! I am sure that Sally Jean is laughing all the way to the bank, bet that has something to do with how she stands it all day, ahh?! When I first soldered at home I didn't even know you were suppose to work "in a well ventilated area" until I left the room, came back and realized I was asphyxiating myself and the cats. I am taking a class with her at Art & Soul in May, maybe she can help me work out the technical kinks in my process, at least I'm hoping so!!
